Rationalizing the Blame: Is it users of SEO applications or is it Search Engines?

I admit. Prior to hearing about SEO applications and site optimization field, I considered that Google was great. I Googled anything from celebrities, to visuals, to news stories to strange things and heedlessly trusted the findings. Then I heard about SEO tools and a separate e-commerce revolving around website marketing, and things were never the same. But even before my revelation, having done some reflective reading, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from all, and reveal to the web community a fraction of what they know.

My search escapades soon persuaded me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image search source, that with the assistance of social bookmarking tools I can get quality news coverage without the need to rummage through Google search findings (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and people search is better managed by Facebook. It seems that every time I look for obscure objects on Google, the results are often messy, to put it kindly. Try Googling for SEO tools and other SEO relevant topics on Google and you are just about prepared to lose your patience. I mean, come on, what’s the connection between SEO programs and online education sites or Web casinos? Turns out in my distress.

So when news of seo software review and the whole industry revolving around it invaded my modest worldview, my doubts about things surfacing out on P1 of Google grew virally. Do they deserve to show up on there and whose fault is it, Google or site promoters using SEO tools. The ethical quandary is huge. Do I stop using my SEO google rank checker or do I stop using Google instead? I decided that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not until the decent rival enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep playing with my SEO tools.

To be honest, SEO programs is the reason why guys like myself get some visibility on the net. intelligent as they are, Google web bots are not likely to find some no-name guy and rank his website well. In this respect, I remain a firm believer in SEO products and natural search. If it was all about the paid search, the multinational businesses would demolish me before I knew it. And there are 1000 organizations on the Fortune list! But here is something else that irritates me and other backlinks checker users, I am certain. There are people who invest in SEO software products and use them to sell dresseson employment sites and the like. What we have is rubbish that not only lives on the net but is also well valued by search engines.

What is the public reaction to this? People search for SEO product reviews and will instead find disconnected SERPs. They get disappointed. So much for the “Internet fairness”. Does this indicate that SEO product and service industry is harmful? I don’t think so.

The unethical users of SEO apps need to stop corrupting the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop cracking the code. The unfortunate side about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the chance to be noticeable on the Net that is available to the no-name person like myself. For now people just have to treat them. One can only wish that Google will put more effort into catching the schemers unethically using SEO software, and if Google doesn’t, the new Google will.
